Nationally Acclaimed Acting Coach, John Homa to Present Actor’s Workshop

John Homa, the acclaimed acting coach who has been instrumental in the successful careers of Kirsten Dunst, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Brian Pressley, and many others will be presenting a hands-on actors’ workshop Sunday, July 13th from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. at University of New Orleans’ Thrust Theatre (in the Performing Arts Center). This workshop is a production of AFTRA, the Arts Council of New Orleans, and Actor's Point of View.

Attendees will spend time with John Homa and obtain a thorough understanding of:
· What acting is
· How to break down a scene quickly & specifically for the audition
· How to accurately evaluate your performance after an audition
· Story structure & the different scene types
· Emotional preparation
· Creating scene dynamics
· The difference between the audition & working environment & how to prepare for both.

This workshop follows the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists Annual Membership Meeting and Luncheon, Saturday July 12, 2008 at Andrea’s Restaurant, 3100 19th St., Metairie, LA.
